Wow!!!
For the last 8 hours I have sat with our General Superintendent, George Wood, and a host of other pastors and A/G leaders.
The context of the meeting was "what do we as a movement and leaders need to do to keep this church from becoming stagnant?"
Some comments very eye opening and sober.
What are your thoughts- what do we need to focus on and emphasize?

The Mission of the Church
Jesus said in Luke 10:19 that He came to seek and to save that which is lost.
His mission was proactive (seek) and redemptive (save).
With only 3 out of 20 churches growing in America it appears we have lost focus on doing the mission of Jesus!
Why have we lost our passion for the missing? I suggest we have embraced a culture of faithfulness instead of fruitfulness!
What say you?

What does Christmas mean to you?
Christmas to me means reflection. I reflect on my family, my childhood, my traditions and most importantly, I reflect on the entrance of our Savior into our world to begin the process of our redemption.
Without his humble birth, there would have been no sacrificial death.
What do you reflect on at Christmas?

Who do you miss?
I have been on the road in ministry the last few days. The longer I am away, the more I realize how much I love and miss my family.
I have touched based with each of them daily to let them know how much I love them.
Have you told your family today that your love them? Stop what your doing right now and let them know.

Get Out of the Way
Recently I was returning from a trip and happened to get behind a truck towing a boat on a trailer.
The truck driver was driving very slow and he was all over the road. Boats don't belong on a state highway, they belong in the water. I followed that contraption for 30 minutes. When he finally turned off, over 30 cars were lined up behind me.
How many times have I been where I wasn't suppose to be, doing what I wasn't suppose to do and in turn held up others on the way to their destination.
